WHO CAN APPLY?
• singers from 16 to 30 years old inclusive
• vocalists (academic vocal) – soprano, mezzo-soprano, contratenor, tenor, baritone, bass
• singers of any nationality, residing anywhere in the world
EXCEPTION — citizens or representatives of the russian federation and the republic of belarus CANNOT participate in the Competition
• winners of previous editions of the Competition (Grand Prix or 1st prize) CANNOT participate in the Competition,
unless participating in a different age category or as a different type of voice
TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPETITION…
…it is necessary to fill in the online application form and provide the following information:
• personal data
• copy of Passport or ID – card
• full competition program
• portrait photo for the booklet
• short artistic bio
• video recording of the first round program
• copy of the registration fee’s payment receipt
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
I – CATEGORY
(from 16 to 21 years old inclusive)
- 1st ROUND (online, runtime up to 10 min)
- Aria from the opera, cantata, mass, or oratorio written in the XVI-XVIII centuries.
- The folk song of the country represented by the participant.
- 2nd ROUND (accompanied by piano, runtime up to 15 min)
- Aria from the opera by the composer of the country represented by the participant, or Aria from an opera by a Ukrainian composer (optional).
- Art song by the Western Ukrainian composer of the XIX-XXI centuries.
- 3rd ROUND (accompanied by piano, runtime up to 15 min)
- Aria from the opera by the European or American composer of the XIX-XX centuries.
- Art song by the Ukrainian composer of the XIX-XXI centuries.
II – CATEGORY
(from 22 to 30 years old inclusive)
- 1st ROUND (online, runtime up to 15 min)
- Aria from the opera, cantata, mass, or oratorio written in the XVI-XVIII centuries.
- Art song by the Ukrainian composer of the XIX-XXI centuries.
- The folk song of the country represented by the participant.
- 2nd ROUND (accompanied by piano, runtime up to 20 min)
- Aria from the opera by the European or American composer of the XIX-XX centuries.
- Aria from the opera of the composer of the country represented by the participant, or Aria from an opera by a Ukrainian composer (optional).
- Art song by the Western Ukrainian composer of the XIX-XXI centuries.
- 3rd ROUND (accompanied by a symphony orchestra)
- Aria from the opera of choice from the proposed list.
AWARDS
• Grand Prix of the Competition – 150,000 UAH
• laureate of the 1st prize of the 2nd category – 70,000 UAH
• laureate of the 1st prize of the 1st category – 60,000 UAH
• laureates of the 2nd prize of the 2nd category – two prizes of 50,000 UAH each
• laureate of the 2nd prize of the 1st category – 40,000 UAH
• laureates of the 3rd prize of the 1st category – two prizes of 30,000 UAH each
• laureate of the 3rd prize of the 2nd category – 20,000 UAH
• diploma winners in each category
• a special award from the official partner of the Competition DS Automobiles
• award for the best performance of an aria from an opera by a French composer from the Honorary Consul of France in Lviv
• award for the best performance of an aria from an opera by a Ukrainian composer
• award for the best performance of an art song by the Western Ukrainian composer
• award to the best concertmaster of the Competition
VIDEO REQUIREMENTS
• video must be specifically made for the Competition, and recorded not earlier than July 1, 2025
• the Competition program must be recorded in a single take, without stopping the recording between pieces
• any editing of video or sound on it is prohibited!
• recordings must be made entirely live, only with piano accompaniment
(no pre-recorded backing tracks, no non-acoustic instruments or orchestra accompaniment)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Deadline for applications – October 6, 2025, until 11:59 pm Eastern European EET (UTC +2).
• Documents submitted late or incompletely will not be considered!
• The registration fee is $50 (payment in USD).
• The registration fee is non-refundable!
• ATO/JFO or russian-Ukrainian war members and their children are exempt from paying the registration fee.

• Jury members cannot submit their students to the Competition (see the Rules and Regulations for more details).

• Contestants, who pass to the II round, will receive an official invitation via e-mail given in the application form no later than October 31.
• If necessary, for an additional payment, the Competition will provide a pianist for participation in II and III rounds.
• • •
• The Competition program must be performed from memory in the original language as written. All arias must be sung in original keys as written.
• Works by russian composers and in the russian language are not allowed.
• Each piece can be performed only in one round!
• Changes to the II and III rounds’ program are permitted until November 3.
